Morton Mustangs are going Global with STEAM!

At the end of last year, I started a mural in the front hall way of our school.  We wanted this mural show our school's new focus on the STEAM initiative and global connections.  

And...VuaaaLaaa!

  The main picture is complete but I will be adding some writing and a gold star on Morton's location in North America soon. I'll post an update when it is fully done.     

Each character represents one of the 5 focuses of 

STEAM teaching... Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. 

The little green guys is our Scientist and yellow is our Techie.  

The fluffy orange dude is our Engineer.  And, yes, the world map is shaped like a horse... we are the Morton Mustangs after all.  I had to include a horse some how! :) 

Our Artist is the purple multi-tasker. And the little red helper is our Mathematician.

As a whole, the mural represents how Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math work together to help us navigate and stay connected to our world!
